(1995 se 5spd) the one w/ the video recorder has 2 people in the car and intake-y pipe-high flow cat
(1997 gxe 5spd) my car has intake-headers-y pipe-no exhaust (hehe)-unorthodox flywheel and udp.
actually the last video is in my car so the other car only has one person

To me it sounds like he's shifting a little late to be optimal. unless he has VI. But best shift points aren't right at redline for every gear with USIM.
But looks like fun. I wish i had another 5spd maxima to play around with. Car looks like its running strong!

UDP is under drive pulley.
In the second video it sounded like you were shifting way late, definately a USIM car. Optimal shift points should be about 6000, maybe 6100 from 3rd to 4th gear, sounded like you were running it out dang near to redline. It'll only make a slight difference in acceleration though, not enough to turn your car from a maxima into a ferrari, but it'll help a bit. What do you normally shift at in each gear? Third video sounded like you were shifting at a good time.

You got a good jumpstart but that 97 Max constantly gains on you. Too bad, all that noise but you still get whooped. During normal driving, I usually upshift at 3k miles but when it comes to running it, my upshift is at around 6k rpm just like Nealoc187 suggested.

Great Videos Man. Just not so many on the public roads huh?
Sounds beasty - though your mate does sound like a girl in the car...I guess I might too if I was in his position. 75? 80? (when you switched off bro...)

This is why chillin014's suggestion is a very good one to avoid confusion. Sorry for the mistaken identity. Still, that 95 is getting whooped, I feel bad cuz I also drive a 5-speed 95 SE.

actually the 95 really only gets wooped in the second vid...but honestly i thought i was going to beat it more because i got an aluminum flywheel, udp, headers and he doesnt. i have a couple other videos of him hanging w/ me and one where he beats me (but he got a jump) so i give props to the 95se.

alot of people say that the high flow cat doesnt do anything but i disagree. reason being is the stock one only has like a 2in inlet and outlet so whats the point of having a y-pipe and or cat-back thats 2 1/2 in if you leave the stock cat on?
