Need Help ASAP!

Car missing badly day after spark plug change. No problems yesterday driving. I did notice the #4 ignition coil was sort of loose in relation to the shaft. Possibly it has weakened, thus causing on and off contact? All plugs (NGK iridium) were gapped properly .044 and seated correctly. Can I find one of these coils aftermarket? This sucks because I have to miss work & christmas $. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks

P.S. I found it kind of strange that no codes were thrown

Go over your work. Take the coils out and make sure everything is in order. Look at the electrical connections, make sure you didn't bend a pin on a coil pack. Make sure the connections are tight and the plug clips into place.

Okay, so I take out the supposedly bad coil and replace with new one. Just like before, the car ran fine for about an hour, and then went right back to f ucking misfiring again. I don't know what to do at this point other than re-check each plug's gap. I set the gaps on these plugs using a round gap checker. From what I hear, these aren't the most accurate to check with? I doubt that it would be that far off from a guage feeler. I'd appreciate any input. This is really pissing me off at this point. There has to be a solution......

are the iridiums suppost to be gapped at .44?

Test the coil pack with a multimeter.
A (somewhat) extreme measure, go buy coppers (~$10) and put those in and see if the car mis-fires. If it doesnt, it was the spark, if it does still, then you know its not the sparks.

It maybe the injector then.

the #4 cyl

I guess I'll have to take the plugs out and re-check gap + test the coils on Saturday when I have time. Sucks I won't have a car this week.

Supposedly??? In other words you have no idea if it was a bad one or not.

Go over ALL OF YOUR WORK. Take every coil out and inspect them, reseat them, check all the electrical connections, look at the pins.

You took a guess at the #4 coil just because it seemed loose. Stop doing guess work and do a complete check of everything you just serviced.

If you are getting a misfire in number 4, getting a code and you suspect the coil, move that coil to a know good firing cylinder and move the good coil to number 4. See if the code then changes to the cylinder you put the bad coil on.

Took everything out just an hour ago, re-checked gaps on plugs, inspected coils, and reseated all. After driving for a few minutes, right back to the same misfiring. No codes, wtf?
