engline light on.............check EGR fault code.......replace the EGR unit and clean the sensor, and the relate hoses....but engine light come back on today.....so what should I do next.....

I had the same problem, had to remove the intake manifold and physically clean all the EGR tubes, everyhting was packed thick with carbon buildup

I need to do this. What all does this take as in gaskets and cleaning tools and what not. I need to do this but I don't wanna get the IM off and not have the right things to put it back on or clean it right. Thanks for the help.

 

I use the diagnostic device and shows code 400 which is the egr valve. So I change the valve and clean all the pipes(which had all carbon build ups). then 1 day later..the engine light come back on......so can't pass the NY inspection ................damn.....

 

My problem was resolved by replacing Egr solenoid valve..$60-80 sensor from nissan dealership..maybe this will help:
