Has any one bought these off ebay yet? They look to be the same as the Custom Enterprise ones but Im not totally sure...just wondering about fitment issues...and if they are the same as CE's

The fitment from the pictures looks crappy....there was a thread on these a few pages back which you may want to look at. Ill try to look for it.

from the title i thought you meant real red/clears. bummer

i would pass them up, i guess. fitment probably is nothin better than regular altezzas.

 

That's just the MSRP man . The buy it now price is 149.99 but they seem to be a copy of the CM ones. Let me find that thread and see what's up....

those arent red clears...those are full clears

 

Seems all 4th gen red/clears are all over ebay now

 

these have been posted MANY times. THe link posted by the thread starter is for the sh!tty custom maxima red/clears. fitment is crap and the bulb reflection is horrible.

The link posted by frouctou is for all clear APCs which can be opened up and painted to look like red clears (see my sig), they also fit perfectly.

They are the CM or knockoff of custommaxima red/clears.

First I still think David L's red clear is the BEST!

The recent ones are all made overseas in Asia and probably by the same manufacturer.

 

the fitment is crappy i seen them on this max wit ny tags and at night u can really see in side the cracks on the trim of the lights, but i am still gonna get them!

the "best" to get are david ls, or APC all clear tails which you have to open up and paint.

You joke, but a few years ago, it WAS all about the chrome altezzas.

You wouldn't believe how loudly many people begged to have them made for the Maxima.

 

ok, which are the NEXT best that don't involve any painting?? I don't have much confidence in my painting abilities and I don't want the lens to look like my kid painted them!!! I really like the way the tails look on gtr_rider's and Vlasic's Maxima's!

i was worried about painting too, but from what I have heard it really isn't hard at all.

 

Why bother painting if you can get them already painted from CE??? Unless the APCs are much better quality or are a lot cheaper (or both!)......

 

apcs were close to 200 just for the outers i think

I talked to the guy from CE today. Real nice guy and really helpful. He said there were some problems with the original batch of lenses they had (fitment issues) but since then it's been corrected. He guaranteed my satisfaction. $199+shipping. I'm going to give them a try...

 

yeah, dont know If I should go with those CE ones. I have DL's. not lookin to sell them either.

 

get that guarantee in writing. the second batch seemed to leave a bit to be desired still.

you have David's? why are you looking for anything else? you have a gem and anything compared to that just doesn't work with the car, IMO. you may think different, but I say stick with them.

 

Its all about personal preferance. If I didnt have my apc red clears (david Ls) I would wait unti lI could find some. I think the CE red clears are ugly as **** and would never put them on my car, the fittment and beam patter issues dont even come to mind, its just the look.

I'm thinking about buying, my stock are busted.

 

When I had my 96 I thought these were ugly as well and was not going to waist money on them, they just continue to look photoshopped in every picture I have seen of them. Too bad it took me until a couple of months prior to selling the 96 before I found a set of David L's.

I think David L tails are over-rated...IMO...thats why I still am rockin my stockers w/ smoked covers from clearguard....i just was wondering if anyone had bought these ebay ones yet and how they compared to CE's version so can anybody really answer my original question?
