heater in rear 02 sensor code 0902
i have the 0902 ecu code which is for the heater for the rear o2 sensor. is the o2 heater part of the sensor or does the car itself have the 02 heater. basically will replacing the sensor with the included new harness most likely fix the problem or is it possibly something with the wiring before the o2. the stickies say to check fuse #31 (o2 fuse) and that fuse is not blown.

You will have to replace the whole O2 sensor which has the heated element built in. So this will fix your problem, for sure, unless you have a blown fuse which you say you don't. Hope I was of a help.

ya the fuse def. is fine. i even disconnected the fuse and started the car. it did not trip the cel light itself but when i checked the ecu codes i got 0901, 0902 and 1001. so basically if the fuse is blown it would trip the 02 heater code for all three 02 sensors or all 4('99 cali spec). i'm very happy to have a 99 thats fed spec.
thanks for the info. i will just get a new o2
