Stuck Behind Gauges!

Im in the process of putting LED's behind my 98 gauge cluster. I have the gauges out except for a few wire harnesses attached to the back. I had the old thread bookmarked, but since I have gotten a new computer. If someone can link me to the LED gauge writeups it would be very appreciated, I searched and only found 6th gen writeups, and a writeup for how to remove the gauges. I'm looking for the actual LED portion of the writeup. Also I'm wondering if there are pictures to aid in the removal of these harnesses, b/c they are fragile, and I am afraid to remove them with any type of force. Any help is appreciated, and keep the comments to a min, the quicker the better given that the gauges are hanging over my steering wheel, just waiting to come inside. Thanks in advance.

hmmm this one is a writeup for the led needles, with 194 blubls as the back light. i want to make the LEDs my back light and was wondering, on the old holes where the old 74 bulbs are, if there is a difference in the positive and negative copper contacts. I was going to wire the leds right onto the old bulb holes.

Does anyone know if it matters which side (how) you solder the 194 bulb and the leds, when soldering it to the copper contacts on the cluster board?? Im not sure which contact is +/-. Here is the pic, I would hate to have to solder it twice, so If someone knows whether or not it matters which side I solder to.
Here is the pic, The round copper contacts have 2 sides per hole, Im not sure which is pos/neg. You can see where they soldered the leds and bulbs to, I just cant tell if polarity matters.
