....some might suggest replacing the mounts while you're at it. Here's a pretty detailed list of what is needed for a complete job but you dont really need everything.

I did mine about two weeks ago and I replaced the front mounts, the insulator (thing with the hard rubber) in addition to the bumpstops and the other obvious items...

It seem as if by the time you invest in a suspension setup with all you need your only about 100 from a coilover setup

yes i just realized this..

ha. added it up today and ive got about 995 in suspension so far. but thats including new axles that i must have... or should have had a year ago.

anyways.. im sure ill be happy... buddy of mine had eibach springs. but he ran gr2's.. so illumina's should ride alot better.. and our roads aren't all that bad..

I think I am just gonna replace struts, springs, and bumpstops.

Give me a reason why I should replace all the other stuff.

you should replace all the other stuff because its a ***** taking apart the shock/spring assembly a couple months down the road when they need to be replaced and your suspension rattles and creaks because of the lowering springs.

If i were you i would go ahead and replace the strut bearing , uppper rubber spring seat and the strut mount.

I'll second that.... I skipped the upper mounts and bearings. Now I need to pull the front back apart and replace the right upper mount. F'n squeaks over every little bump, wasn't that bad to start with just once and a while, esp when cold. Now you can hear me coming across the parking lot, sounds like the bed springs at the hourly motel..lol.

Definately get new spring seats (to stop squeaking) and new strut bearings. Like everyone said, might as well get new ones while the thing is pulled apart.
