I just discovered that the knock sensor in my 99 Max died (God only knows when did it happen)and needed to be repleced. Just curious, are those OEM KS on sale at EBay any good? Has anyone bought and used them before? Thanks!!

I helped Dayglo install an ebay knock sensor back in the summer. AFAIK I've not heard of any complaints about it from him so it should be ok.

Lots of us including me have bought them off ebay, afaik there is no off-market types they are all factory and have factory stock #'s, you can do a search in ebay for "maxima knock" or try for this one but don't go over $90 as there are some for "Buy now" at that price just check shipping and good luck.

bought mine for $73 on ebay and installed it in 30 minutes

how can i tell if the knock sensors bad ? will the check engine light be on or will i have to check the resistance like i did on my 93 se. if so what is the correct resistance on the 4th gen.

yea i bought mine off ebay as well and it has been working for 2 years w/ 40k on it.
