mevi q's

Hi i was interested in getting a mevi because i have all the bolt-ons and am not satisfied with my performance. I know everyone on here prefers the 00' VI but i don;t want to buy a throttle body and do a bunch of modifing. I want a bolt on. I know that courtesy nissan has a kit do you get everything need for install? Like gaskets and things like that? And since ecu reprogramming isn't for 99's i would probably have to manually shift to get the benefits of higher than stock redline? And what benefits do a mevi give you becides it pulls harder top end ie; more power, faster 1/4?? I know i have alot of questions but i want to know b4 i buy one. THANKS!

there is a complete setup for sael in the classifed for an 00vi everythign u need except RPM switch i think blackmaxx96 was selling it....MEVI its ok u lose low end power gain high-end its better to have JWT ECU to take full advantage of higher RPMs...00vi give u a nice increase accross the whole power band without ECU upgrade

JWT now does ECUs for 99s.
With EU it doesn't matter what year you are.
On an auto you would have to manually shift to go past 6.5k if you had a higher redline, but that has nothing to do with 99s.
MEVI will not make you faster in the 1/4 without ECU. I know from experience.
The Courtesy kit comes with everything you need except the vacumm activation subsystem which is explained in detail in the MEVI FAQ.
Also remember http://www.nismoparts.com but they seem to be more expensive at the moment.
DEK is more work and less bolt on, but it will be worth it in the long run for most since after the install there is no compromise.
FAQs and the entire Advanced Performance forum are your friends.

i just got my mevi from courtest nissan but i still need other components. read the install on it in the "how to's". i'm having a hard time finding a vacuum canister that is needed fo instsall. the rpm switch you can get at
www.harlan-engineering.com $50 shipped. it does come with everything ready to bolt on. the thing is getting to work!

Don't get the harlan switch almost everyone who has purchased one has ditched it because it totally sucks. Get the switch from summit racing. Vacuum canister can be purchased at any auto parts store in the country they are like $12...
