Got these from junkyard. $92 shipped. They were pretty dirty and a little on the hard side, but I think over time they will soften up nice. I will post up with an installed pic later. Im in a mad rush to get my car ready for Maxus '06!

What's the quality of the i30 leather as compared to the maxima leather?

 

I know the front I30 headrests tilt, but that would be sweet if the rears did too!!

 

The rears do not tilt.

I am not sure on the quality of leather from an Infinity vs. a Nissan. Im sure they are the same though.

 

i30 is actually better quality leather according to the maxima.org original faq's on the homepage iirc. great price!

i had them in tan but am selling them locally. very hot mod and makes any maxima more unique...be sure to post installed pics.

Fronts cost around $150-$75. I am holding out for some leather 350z seats in the front. I think the perforated only came in the Touring Edition and may only be so on the front ones.

 

perforated was also on the rears if the fronts had it...i've seen a few sets at the junkyard (only in tan or that hot gray).

 

ahh. I didnt even think to look for perforated ones. Oh well. If I ever find a decent set then I guess I can sell these and get the perforated ones. I will have to see which ones will match the 350z seats the best.

I'm going to have to get a closer look if I can make it down to Maxus! I really want to put those in my car...I hate how there are no headrests back there.

Nice setup with the black rears and 350z seats.

 

I dont have the 350z ones yet. I know Ima bitter some times. I have to admit I got the 350z seat idea from Flav, but the I30s I wanted a long time ago just never got around to doing it.

 

What do you have in the front? Do you at least have black or grey cloth?

It might look strange, but who cares...you need the back seat to be nice and comfy anyway.

 

Front is stock grey cloth for now. I have some inside info on some leather 350z seats. Hope to have them by Maxus.

 

I was looking on that site and it seems like you can get 2 black leather 350z seats with blown bags for around $500....Not sure if a blown bag makes the seat look bad or if you can just replace the cover to wear the bag used to be.

 

Thats what I plan on doing. Buy some with blown bags and take them to an upholstery (sp?) shop to have the bag area filled and recovered.

check the link in one of the posts above and do a search on that site...there was a lot of tan leather seats from what i saw...you have to email the seller to get a better quote though and see if there still for sale and if they'll ship and the condition there in

If all goes well for the max, Im still considering to wrap them.

 

i think you should wrap them, it looks kind of weird, but the design of the Z seats are hot

 

i sometimes think that having leather will allow you to slide around much more, especially in a Maxima seat with almost no bolsters. has anyone flet that the seat grabs maybe just a little bit more with cloth or a little bit less with leather?

(i'm assuming noone has alcantara! )

 

The Z seats are much darker black than in that picture. It actually matches pretty good.
