People with 5spd conversion

I'm planning on doing the conversion myself and I wanted to know if anyone is having problems after doing this mod. I know it is very expensive doing but I'm willing to do it if there is no problems after doing it. Thanks for the inputs.

Why would there be problems unless you did a sloppy install.

I heard so many things about having problems after the conversion. Like motor mount or the car losing power, or the clutch not engadging properly, or even having your check engine light coming on. I saw some threads saying that they had cold starts too. I worried about all this cause it's a lot of money spending on this. Will the check engine light come on if I do the swap without the manual ECU?

It's not expensive at all, actually, it's one of the least expensive mods i've done to my car. I guess I got lucky. As long as it works the first time, it should be fine. it's a straightforward swap, the only hard part is drilling the hole for the clutch master cylinder and running the clutch lines, well at least for me it was.

Another trouble spot would be taking off the auto tranny, because it's a hassle to get it to clear the torque converter...and when you get it off...make sure it's on the ground, not balancing on a jack...cause it's very heavy, and can fall over VERY easily...the manual tranny weighs a little more than half the weight of the auto, and you can lift it yourself.

Look around, you can get a great deal on everything you need.
