They are a good replacement if matched with softer springs. Alot of people will tell you to get illuminas...blah blah, but if you have the money and could use adjustables than go ahead. If you dont the GR2-s are a good upgrade from stock and will give a slightly stiffer ride, but no where near harsh. I've had them for 2 years now with maxspeed springs and they are still going fine. Just make sure you change all the rubber parts when installing the new struts.

I have GR-2's with a stiff spring and they are great. I have had them for about 40.000 miles and no problems.

As said by p00tan6, use softer springs. I have H&R's with the GR2's and they are great. Still comfortable. Of course i have to mention that i am on 16" tires so that may make a difference.
What size wheels are you planning for? The bigger the tire the less sidewall so the tire won't absorb as much. Does that make sense?
Just something to think about for long term planning...

springs....

I think the set up that I'll be going with will be KYB GR2 all around and the Eibach 6334.140 lowered springs. I have been looking around and Advance auto had the whole deal for $555...they are the cheapest that I have found. I do not want to order this type of stuff from Ebay. My uncle has his own shop so he's goping to install everything for me.
