Any of you guys know where this goes? It feel out and I have limited shifting now. Going to bring it to a shop tomorrow about a min away from my house to take a look. Have no idea how such a thing would come loose. What does it connect 2?

Thats the shift linkage - well, at least 1 1/2 of it right now your shifter is being held on by whatever remains of the bolt that holds the two sides together... pull up the shift boot and you'll see what I mean.

Shift gently - and don't drive unless you need to - you might end up without a shifter altogether... and no I'm not joking.

Thats the 2nd piece of the shift linkage connector...there are 2 12mm or 14mm bolts that hold it in - in btwn the crossmember and the tranny

HA, awesome! so this isnt a big deal then. Still wondering how the hell did that come off!! And everyone was telling me it was the shifter bushing. Hopefully the guys tomorrow have some bolts to put on there for the time being.

I think they are M10 threads. The one toward the front is a short bolt, about 20mm, and the one toward the rear is more like 40mm.

wow...how did that come out...

yes, that's the second part of the shifter linkage, the one that basically deals with the tug of the engine...

On the tranny there should be two bolt holes, which were both VERY tight if I may add...when the tranny was put back on. Check if they snapped or came loose (somehow)...If you don't have the bolts themselves, i think i *might* have some from my parts car. And take it very easy on the shifting.

The heads are 14mm, both of them. The normal size bolt diameter for a 14mm head is either M8 or M10, I'm not 100% sure since automotive fasteners usually have extra small heads. The 20 and 40mm are the lengths of the bolts, again estimated. The short one fits in the front hole.

If I'm reading the parts list right, they would be p/n 08121-0252F (short) and 31377-31U00 (long)

ha its all fixed. I also got a fuel injection cleaning service. Where they hook up the machine to your engine and run it off detergents. My car idles 100-150 rpms higher than spec. It's ok It doesn't bother me much. the shifter feels 100% better nice and tight. Getting into gears are 100% on the money.
