Help: Back to stock intake -- what is this piece?

Need some help here...

I'm going from my CAI back to the stock intake. There are two harnesses that plug in near the box. One is the MAF sensor. The other is something that looks like a christmas tree bulb, and has a two wire harness on it. There was a hole for it in my CAI. After putting the stock box back on, I can't figure out where this damn thing is supposed to go.

What is this thing, and where does it go?

I believe it is the intake air temp. sensor, I think it goes somewhere near the bottom/underside of the intake snorkel.

It is the Intake Air Temperature Sensor. It goes in your stock airbox on the side closest to the windshield on the top half of the airbox.

Found it

Thanks, guys, I found it.

Different 4th gens might be different, I guess. There is what looks likea punch out on the top of the airbox itself, but there's no hole there.

Mine goes into the duct that attaches into the bottom of the airbox. I had to remove the top of the airbox to see it.

Thanks for the help!

95-96 have the sensor up in the top of the air box.

97-99 have the sensor in the tubing right before it enters the air box.
