lets see your tails

Hey guy Im about to get me a 4th gen and was wanting to see what some of your after market tail lights look like. Post a pic of your tails.
And what does it take to get the 97 tail light to work on the 95-96?

I did the DTM mod to my tails...all it required was opening the lenses, removing the lower reflectors, and painting the bottom portion of the housing black. Results:

You can also get a similar effect by using Niteshades paint to tint the lenses. Both good options that are cheaper than buying aftermarket lights.

I would think it should be okay...as long as you have some decent amber bulbs in the turn signals. My car doesn't have to go through any type of inspections where I live so I don't know for sure. If it doesn't pass you could always just open the lights back up and stick the old orange/white reflectors back in.

When I did this mod, it was the first time I had ever attempted using tools and changing anything at all on a car and it wasn't very hard. The trickiest part was prying the lenses from the housing, you just have to be patient and careful.

Here's a great DIY writeup with pics: http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...howpage&pid=66

Not feeling the Honda rear end look. But if you love it, then that is what counts.

But doesnt the orange reflector not come out for the 95-96's. How do so many have it done on those years without doing a rear end conversion.

What would be cool is if some people explained their 95-96 tail light mods and how they did them. Us less fortunate people that dont have the easy red clear installation =)
