just got something in the mail that said i have to pass emissions. am i correct in thinking that i cant pass with the service engine soon light on? it mentions the cel, but not the ses specifically. where can i buy an o2? can i put it in myself? i know 0+ about cars.

the mechanic that scanned the ses light said it would run me about $200 for sensor and labor, plus $150 for registration, plus $30 for emissions. i dont have that laying around...
