I just got rid of my faded/jacked up clears, for a nice OEM pair. I must say they look really classy. The clears looked ricey and I dont know why I kept them on so long. My son who is 7 said "nice dad, can you make the headlights that color too". hehe. I would like to see pics of peoples setups with the lights on. I am thinking I need some amber on the corners, to match the bumper lenses. I would really like some cefiros with amber corners. My next mod is some new foglight lenses.

 

i just bought some silver coated amber bulbs off of ebay for 1.99 each...i'll let you know how they turn out

 

I just got a nice set of OEMS are well, and they match up nicely with my amber sylvania corner bulbs. I think any KH3 looks really nice with an amber setup.

I dont know about that. I still think those all white tails and altezzas are EXTREMELY ricey. The thing about amber is it is stock.

how is a stock looking part gonna draw attention from the police, clear turn signals are stock on countless other cars. Hell even the Lexus suv comes with all clear tails now. 3rd gens came stock with them up front. Some of you people are I LOVE MY KH3 YELLOW!!

 

Also, I think CF is played out and ricey. The only car the CF would look awesome in is the R35 Skyline due to come out in a couple of years.

 

Most of the dudes you see with clears in the bumper have, blue or white. That is illegal cops love to get you for stuff like that. Also, I think the orange lenses give the car more contrast. My partner picked me up for work and said "wow, what a difference, it has more character, not so grey scale".

I stuck some LED yellow lights on my (black housing) clear lenses.

 

i changed out the bluish white bulbs as well. i did the brighter clearance lights mod with the amber bulbs and put ambers in the corners, and went back to stock headlights and fogs. looks pretty sick and their bright as $hit. looks really good with all lights on except headlights. i personally think HIDS are gonna be out of style sooner or later unless u have a beemer or a high class vehicle. but times change as stated and rice might be in, in a few years once again.

what are the best bulbs for head lights corners or turning signals? sylvania silverstars or the philips HID?

 

silverstars are crap, if you want more than a month (dont flame me, im warning the noob). if you can afford spending several hundred dollars on headlights, go for HID

you want sylvania xtravisions for the headlights (stock is 9004)
you want normal amber bulbs (sylvania or GE) for the bumpers and corners (stock is 1156, 1157)

blue tinted bulbs put the least amount of light on the road. i had 100w PIT bulbs with a blue tint that had drastically less light on the road than the 55w xtravisions im running now

 

amber corners is the way to go; unfortunately i live in europe and amber lights are illegal; they must be white. i'm running my corner lights on LED's wihch match up my hid's pretty well; i re-wired the bumper lights so the whole thing lights up when i use the turn signals.

unfortunetly i dont have a pic of amber bumper lights with an amber bulb in the clearance light. you cant get an amber bulb to match the stock bumper lenses no matter what.

As soon as I put my clear bumpers on, i thought that they looked ricey. I just yesterday tried to put the amber bulbs in the turn and side markers and it looks a bunch better. I think it looks better than the amber housings. Also, im going to buy amber corner bulbs to match (in the factory clear housing). I'll post a pic tomorrow.

 

oh i forgot, i had tint on them. thats probably why.

Yeah the stock bumper lights do look ugly on Sagemist Green.

 

Personally, I like orange bulbs ( or amber bulbs) better.. just looks cleaner IMO
I might put the orange bumpers back on, but for now, the clears remain

It just is; your parking lights MUST be white. Things are different here, your headlights have to have a 15degree angle to the right of the road so the side of the road is lit up when you drive; fire extinguisher, first aid kit, reflective triangle & a reflective vest are also a must in each car; rear fog light is also required; you can't drive on foglights during normal weather conditions, you can only use them when there's fog; from October 1st till April 1st headlights are required to be on ALL the time (even if it's a beautiful sunny day); and also winter tires are required; when you have HID's installed, you MUST have headlight washers also installed (that's the only thing that I didn't do yet but no ticket yet)

weird, but it's all for safety reasons & it makes sense.
