I can get a 1995 SE auto, 117K, Bose, sunroof, cloth interior for $6200. It's a beige color like Andi's old car I gather. I haven't seen or driven it yet. My Dad drove it today and said it was fast! To my surprise he took it to 110 mph. He said it's faster than the 97 GLE that they have. What do you think?

Another option was to see if my girlfriend wants to get it. She has a set limit of $5,000 though. She found a nice 92 SE auto for around that price. I think she should take the leap and get the 95 for $6200. But if she doesn't, I just may. The 92 is nice, but it does have the VTC issue. The rewire should solve the problem though.

The Age

As years go by, car get older...no SH*T. A 1992 is almost 10 years old, and seeing that its a generation older than the other one, it will have 1/2 the resale value. Plus, the 1996 has a more powerful engine, however the 1992 has a better suspension. Both are nice but I would go with the 1995-6 (try to bargain him down to $5000.) Just trying to help.
