Power mods baby. Keep your car clean and maybe lower it otherwise i'd go for all power mods. But first i would check CEL codes and a bit of maintenance before anything.

To stay on topic...

I say get suspension right then do a couple power mods, then mod your brakes before you go extreme.

To go off topic...

Hey come on enough with the minor cracks only 11 days thats not bad.

Crown royal is good. and i agree crown royal and coke is

Try some Woodford reserve or old forester. very good. Rebel Yell is cheaper and has a really good taste. My favorite is Old Grandpa it is like 100-140 proof depending on which one you get.

How did lip and variable intake even become a comparison. Don't forget to mention the 400 dollar price difference.

Well, when comparing a monetary amount, the topic of this thread being 1000$, it could be anything ranging from strippers to VI's...

I went for a VI over the lip, if it meant I had enough for either or, I'd take the VI.

What about the cost of painting the lip?

The best mod is to give your 1000 bucks to me Since you can't decide what do to, I'll spend the money on those mirror tints, bronze wheels, altezzas and orange interior I've always wanted.

Well, which route did you take s0ber? It just seems pretty complicated to me.

And the painting of the lip oh yeah.

Amazing how ignorant some of you guys are about power...

I think the OP has his priorities a little backwards. You want to pick the mod you want, then allocate the money toward that specific mod. Don't just make some money and put it into the car with no regard about what you really want. That being said, I would get a Y-pipe and Rear Sway Bar. I don't think anyone could argue that those two items are best bang-for-the-buck. That should leave you around $600-$700 to rice it up with TV screens and DVD players.

About modding the brakes, are you talking about new larger rotors and new calipers? Just Stainless brake lines?

And for those recommending the 3.5 swap, where can one find a swap for $1000 installed? I think you're assuming a lot from the OP in regard to his tools/equipment and know-how to perform an engine swap

Y pipe is good, but the RSB I would hold off on if he doesnt have a suspension setup to begin with.
Best bang for the buck in my opinion next to the Y pipe, ECU upgrade.

To each his own, I suppose. Ive got the stock GLE suspension and I noticed an immediate difference in body roll reduction from the RSB. It's no longer scary to take a freeway offramp at any speed.

Not a bad idea, for a couple hundred dollars you get a little kick in the pants when you step on the gas and you have a car that handle marginaly better. That is what i was gonna do but decided to get my suspension right first.

I wouldnt really call that rice. 12in wing, autozone muffler tip, spinner hub caps and cobra eyes (only one of them works). Now thats rice.

I guess I just prefer the "Go, Stop, Turn" mods first before the cosmetic.

get rid of the Auto, no point in racing if you only have to punch it. Save some more $$$ and put a 5-speed tranny in.
