Help need fast reply 96 vlsd tranny will fit in to 99 nonlockin?
I am about to order the part and the guy told me that the 96 might not fit into the 99 so i am just making sure that it will fit. I will need a new driver side axle. I want to have this part ordered today so it will be at tilleys shop by sunday. Thanks for thoes that can reply.

If your car has ABS then you HAVE to have an ABS axle, but if your car DOESN'T HAVE ABS then you can use either an ABS or NON ABS axle.

Don't confuse the issue. You know as evidenced by your post that you have to have an ABS ring on the axle if you want your ABS to work. Your post will do nothing but serve to confuse people.

Now if you installed a high-stall Edge torque converter at the same time as the VLSD, your launch would be awesome! Imagine launching at 3000!
I got mine working 3 weeks ago, and there is a world of difference. Good luck.

Is your car 5spd or auto... I assumed you were 5spd but then gray99's post made me think he might know something I don't because his torque converter suggestion obviously only applies to automatics. If your car is auto then I don't know if the info I gave is true. I believe it is true, but I haven't done any work on an auto myself so I can't say from firsthand experience.

Sorry if I read too much into the original post.
