2005 350Z wheels on 4th gen
thanks, I actually was in search of the 17's cause I did not want to fork out the cash for the 18's then I found those ridiculously cheap so I picked them up. I'm loving them, stock yet aggressive looking
Dubbya, Im glad you took that pic. Ive been wanting a good pic of your car to show off the whole look of the tokico springs setup. I think Im going to go with those. Hopefully I will have some with illuminas before Maxus 06. If anything else that will be my goal. Along with some other stuff.
The 350Z and G35 are rear drive cars. The offset on these wheels are different from the front drive wheels. The weight of front drive wheel sets are moved inboard (mounting plane outward) due to the torque put on the wheels while turning. Rear drive cars doesn't need this compensation so the mounting plane is more inward.
So the best are the 5th gen. wheels.

check the for sale section for tires. I believe someone was selling their set for $300 something with partially worn tread.

I highly doubt there is going to be that much of a difference in strength of the rims. Maybe if you buy some super light weight or cheap ebay wheels.

They're stock wheels so they definitely strong enough. Since they're cast and heavy ie they arent made to be thinner and lightweight, theyre wayyy less prone to any bending or cracking.

I was driving thru Kentucky last week and saw a guy with 4th Gen rims on his 2k2 SE. I had never even thought to go that way with the 4th Gen rims. It looks so wierd, anyone else saw this?
But, thanks for letting me know about the 25 mm I'd have to shave off.

[/IMG] Pics would be nice.
