Where are these located?

Hey everyone...I want to know where a few things are located. The Haynes Manual has almost nothing about it.

I have a parts car with Cruise Control...and my car has the common blinking problem. So, I was hoping that I could take most of the major components from my parts car and put it in my car...but have no idea where anything is located. I know where the servo, the relay, and the cable is. That's it. Is there a seperate "brain" for the CC? Car-Parts.com lists some sort of computer. Anyhow, I think ya'll get what I'm asking. Thanks a bunch guys.

The service manual places the ASCD Control Unit under dash on the driver side near the console, next to the Combination flash unit. This box is mounted vertically. Probably on a vertical metal support. The connector is a 20 position connector.

These files are great. I have a 1997 Maxima paper version. It has the Bose Radio in the EL section. Your 1998 I30 PDF doesn't show the Bose amplifier circuit. I know my 1998 I30 has Bose amplifier. Did you notice this?

Well...I swapped the ASCD computers from the cars...and in the past I've switched the actual switches on the steering wheel, and the relay...still no difference. It's just blinking at me (common problem here on the .org). Anyone know anything else that I could try? I heard something about the cable, and some break switch. The cable is fine, I think...but what doees the brake switch really do? If it was the break switch, the cruise light on the dash would still light up if I activate it...it won't do that unless I hold one of the buttons (set for example) and then turn it on...in which case it just blinks. What else could it possibly be? I'm planning on doing some long distance traveling this summer so I need to have my CC. Thanks for the help so far guys.

There are quite a few switches and connections. Did you reviewed the ASCD pages in the EL section to make sure you got all the pieces?
