After I was rear-ended a few years ago, I replaced the trunk lid but never got around to putting the Maxima letters back on. So as the title asks...

What can I use to make the letters stick permanently? and where can I get some?

Most automotive paint stores carry a two sided tape made for this. The tape is thin and very sticky. It is not like the two sided foam based tape.

I used double sided weatherproof foam tape from Homedepot.
It's as thick as the factory tape.

Use windsheild urethane so it doesn't fall off

 

That may be a little extreme, mine have foam tape front & back and they hold fine.

Q: Does anyone have the maxima emblem off a 97-99 maxima? I need the one piece emblem not the seperate letters cause it would be easier to center on the trunk lid.


I posted in the fs forum but no response. Cmon I know someone with a 97-99 maxima shaved thier trunk and dont know what to do with the emblem. I'll buy it right know. Let me know!

 

i dont want mine and want to shave it but when i took off the emblem there was paint build up so i have body work to do first
