Lip Kit: Quick Question

Yeah, I realize that there are a lot of Stillen kit questions goin around, but i didn't want to ***** any of them up.

I was just wondering how much you guys have generally paid for quality paint. Did they have to paint any of the rest of the car at all? Also, would I save much if my side skirts were already painted and didn't have to be repainted? I really have never had to get anything repainted so I'm clueless when it comes to pricing that stuff out.

Thanks for the help.

entire car can be shot in the neighborhood of 1400 and up usually for same color without door jambs, thats usually 5-800 more. My lip kit cost me 100 everytime it had to be shot on my last car.

maybe i wasn't clear. I'm looking to get a lip kit, be it stillen or ionic. I need to get it painted, (looking for ballpark prices on that). I was also wondering if it ould be much cheaper if I only needed to get the front and rear parts painted, not the sides. I maybe buy ionic sides that are already painted beige, so they would not need to be painted.

Basically, I'm trying to decide if it's cheaper to buy the used skirts and paint just the front and rear, or should I just buy a brand new kit and get it all painted?

Again, I have no idea how much paint typically costs, but isn't $100 a really low, but good price?

i don't have an answer to your question about the price, but please please please use a shop that will take the time to mix the paint so that it matches the faded paint on your car now. The paint on our cars have faded a bit over the last 10 years and body kits look so much better when they are painted to match how your car looks TODAY, not how it looked 10 years ago.

I live in S. Fl. and I just paid $300 to have my front end resprayed. My car's black, so it's a little more expensive, but that price was to have the whole front end (bumper and Stillen lip) resprayed by the paint shop who has the factory contract to paint Mosler cars.
