I read alot of posts saying that when you change the headunit you need converters and stuff but will and ipod work because when my cd player went I hooked up a portable one through the ashtray and it worked fine.I want to do the same concept with an ipod.
if you have bose, you can do it pretty nicely.

Yu dun need to do all those, if yur tape player still work, go out buy a portable that goes in the tape player and plugs the plug in the earphone place, its works just fine. No speakers problem, sound just like cd players and if yu have video ipod, that can be yur mini DVD player.

But I have an iPod with an FM modulator and its not very good around here because there are so many radio stations and there's always interference. The tape adaptor or a direct connection are probably better.
I dun hear ani static back ground, the reason why i think is that yu didnt turn on the volume for the iPod max. Yu got to turn the volume in the iPod max and just adjust it the loudness from the headunit, and dun change the EQ in the iPod, leave it off.

i installed a Panisonic HU w/rear aux inputs and ran a RCA to mini adapter cable (you can get these for like 7 bucks at walmart). Sounds as good as CD's w/o the skipping
comparing sound quality coming out of the the non-bose hu using regular fm radio stations like z100 to sound quality coming out of the cassette player using the mp3 cassette adapter. does the mp3 player sound to same or better than the fm stations?
