no major problem, but just a concern with quality issues. not only that but the service of the pads look a bit chipped as in a dent along the surface.

i had bent a pad to fit it in and noticed that it doesn't seem to be as SMOOTHE as the other one that came FRESH out of the box. i can say the same with my other cars, other pads, etc. by smoothe i meant how the pads would slide in and out. there was a slight hitch, but maybe it's just me being a bit sensitive about it.

i always felt that precision was important especially for brakes. i didn't want the pads not floating when they need to or draggin when i dont need it to.. just curious..

I would be wondering the same questions if I opened a box of brake pads and saw that. Don't sweat it though - once installed it should be fairly easy to ensure they move well enough.

thanks

what about this?

it seems okay, and that over time it'll smoothe out but these type of quality issues just make go, "hmm" and give me a 2nd thought. i've never seen this type of 'issue' or 'quality control' b4..

That doesn't look like the best quality finish/product to me. Go compare that to a brand-new set of Nissan pads and you'll see what I mean.

Who said Nissan OEM suck? They are excellent pads and all 90% (or maybe more) of the people on here need to use for daily driving.

I believe Akebono makes the OEM pads - but I'm not 100% sure.

How much did you pay for the PBR pads?

A LOT of stuff you can find on the Internet can be factory seconds - perhaps this retailer was selling that kind of stuff. While those kind of nicks and stuff appear cosmetic, I wouldn't buy them again.
