Brake Squealing

i just installed oem rear brake pads on my 95 max and i was wondering how long it will take for the squealing sound to go away. ive had them on there for about 200 miles and the squealing is starting to get annoying. i bed them in as soon as i installed them. thanks

you should not have had sqealing in the first place. Did you use the anti-sqeek compound on the back of the pads? + let them "setup" for about 15 mins?

I've had the same exact problem. The Anti-squeak stuff didn't do a damn thing. I thought it was because I used crappy duralast gold pads?

Used the autozone duralast pads on my girlfriends car and not a peep.

Did you clean all surfaced? Rotor, Torque member, clean the shims and brake clips those get quite dirty and take a good bit of scrubbing to get clean.

I always thought the store brand brake pads would be crappy and probably cause noise, I havent heard a peep from my girlfriends car but if all esle checks out fine, it could be the pads, I'm guessing they cost around $40 for a set for the front. . . maybe a case of "you get what you pay for" I'm hoping no.

I cleaned everything, applied anti-squeak, and replaced the rotors before putting my pads in, so I haven't the foggiest

then unfortunately it may be the pads. The autozone pads come with a lifetime warantee correct? If so then take them back and get a new set, maybe that set wont cause the sqeeking sound.

Sounds like the right thing to do. I'll do so and let you know.
