cat back exhaust prices

I just called my friendly Nissan stealership parts guy, for a price on a stock catback exhaust. The price is $259 for the pipe and $200 for the muffler... what are you guys running? The original is rotting away and the fart noise is driving me nuts.

Go to a muffler shop and get a pipe made + oem replacement muffler.

Or call warpspeed, they can get you a bolt on 2.25" OEM-replica b-pipe for 140 shipped I beleive it was, and then buy an oem replacement muffler such as a Walker or Bosal.

The oem muffler would be the quietest....thats an option. Is anyoen running an Apexi catback or the Waprspeed/Magnaflow setup? Open to any other suggestions and where to look.

They do have Greddy SP2 for 97~99 Maximas. It's part number #10127022. The one ethnic6 is saying is for 95~96 maxima also.... they are cheaper.

The cheapest I found was $490 shipped and I'm going to purchase one later this month... and lot of people have asked me to give them links but right after I buy it, I'll make it public. Hope people will understand.

I got a Greddy SP2 for 95-96 Max for $477 including shipping back in April or May. I love it. My only complaint is that the B-pipe hangs way too low, but that seems to be a very common issue with aftermarket catbacks. I've yet to scrape it on anything.

I purposely bought the 95-96 SP2 because I read on the Org that it actually fits perfectly on the 97-99 Maxima, which has a slightly longer bumper. I don't like the tip to stick out at ALL (looks to me) and this is perfectly flush with my bumper. And the O2 bung on the 95-96 SP2 is perfect for the 97-99 O2 sensor, which is aft of the cat. In the 95-96 Max, the O2 is in the cat itself. So Greddy f$cked up but it's good for us 4.5 gens. Only problem is the O2 bung points DOWN, thus putting your sensor at risk...GRRRRReddy was really on crack. An exhaust shop can weld a new bung on top where it belongs. I have yet to do that.

The sound is perfect IMO. Keep in mind that if you have a stock Y-pipe it will be very quiet. If you have an aftermarket Y-pipe as I do, it will be louder. It's got a very low but quiet idle (not as deep as V8, but headers would help that) and it makes its presence known when you're accelerating or decelerating. But at 75 MPH on the highway, it's basically silent...which is a HUGE plus for long trips when droning would get annoying and lull you to sleep.

I'm not concerned about it sounding liek anything, but relatively quiet. I'm thinking of doing a budget stainless b-pipe and an oem muffler.

Thanks for the compliment. The rims are Mille Miglia Evo5, 17x8. They are dead sexy rims, perfect match for the 4th gen Maxima, and in fact they are one of the most popular rims for the 4th gen. But no one around me has them and they stopped making them last year. You could definitely find them used all over the place, though.

Keep in mind that if you have a 95-96 Maxima, the SP2 won't sit flush like mine does. The tip will stick out an inch or two, unless you convert to a 97-99 bumper.

Fleabay fake oem replacements 130 plus ship no more than 150. Eurojapanparts has the cheapest prices on any I30/maxima exhaust aftermarket. I looked around everywhere and found this place by accident, cheaper prices and shipping.
