OK, brief little story.

I left my '96 Maxima with my girlfriend. For 3 months, while I am outta town('nuff said) SO my friend, who is buying it from me, goes to pick it up...he backed it out of the girlfriends driveway....drives it 30 miles, on Highway, to his house....next day, he says reverse quit working. Then it worked again, then it didn't...Now it is 2 weeks later, reverse still doesn't work. Anyone have the Magical Answer?

 

Did you check your trans fluid level?

 

reverse aint go on vacation...but your trans did ^_^

Well said Scoobay lol yea try checking ur trany fluid and if thats not it u have some trany or maybe some clutch issues

 

either low transmission fluid, or you should start looking at a rebuild or another used tranny...

 

some friend..... 30miles to get to his house? is that accurate distance....

If it worked when he picked it up then its his responsibility from there..
Hope she collected and counted the money when he picked it up....lol

It is an automatic, and he checked the fluid level...said it was pretty low, so he added some, and it still hasn't fixed itself.
