I recently replaced my starter with a stock one!!! As soon as I started the car I got the light. I went to Autozone and they said its some sort of misfire? What the heck is that? Professional help seriously needed quickly. I hate that light!!!!!!!!!

I'm also curious about this. Same code popped up for me right before my starter died, and hasn't gone away after replacing it. Car runs great too, heh.

Per the FSM, 1335 is the crankshaft position sensor. You get the code when the sensor does not detect TDC when starting or running or if there is too much variation in TDC position. Possible causes are:

- bad ground
- bad connection in wiring harness
- bad sensor
- bad starter
- problem in starter circuit
- weak battery

I don't why the starter would be implicated.

Assuming your battery and starter are okay, the crankshaft position sensor is on the front of the engine right under the crankshaft pulley. It's easy to get to once you remove the splash guards.

Pull it off and check the resistance across it. It should be 470 to 570 ohms.

The engine grounds are two wires on top of the lower manifold, in the center where the plenum bolts to it. You can loosen and re-tighten them but I doubt that's the problem.

Well, good news. I had a friend of mine, who is a performance mechanic, hook up his laptop to my car and test everything. When he ran the codes, nothing came up. The light has been off all day yesterday. Maybe it was some random minor issue. The car is running perfectly fine as well. Today i made sure all the sensors and plugs were hooked up tightly. Lets hope it stays off for good.. thanks for all the support guys..
