Help P01335 code
Help P01335 code
I recently replaced my starter with a stock one!!! As soon as I started the car I got the light. I went to Autozone and they said its some sort of misfire? What the heck is that? Professional help seriously needed quickly. I hate that light!!!!!!!!!
Per the FSM, 1335 is the crankshaft position sensor. You get the code when the sensor does not detect TDC when starting or running or if there is too much variation in TDC position. Possible causes are:
- bad ground
- bad connection in wiring harness
- bad sensor
- bad starter
- problem in starter circuit
- weak battery
I don't why the starter would be implicated.

Assuming your battery and starter are okay, the crankshaft position sensor is on the front of the engine right under the crankshaft pulley. It's easy to get to once you remove the splash guards.
Pull it off and check the resistance across it. It should be 470 to 570 ohms.
The engine grounds are two wires on top of the lower manifold, in the center where the plenum bolts to it. You can loosen and re-tighten them but I doubt that's the problem.
