Automatic Shift Boot???Been Done?

Automatic Shift Boot???Been Done?

I like the look of the shift boots on automatics. But has anyone done this to there 4th gen? Was it easy or not worth while?

Also how many post do i have to have until i can use the search feature?

yeah get the book from redlinemax. From ptatohed pictures it looks nice but some other said it is hard to do, You have to jam the boot between the trim peice and the PRND21. Let me look for the link and I'll repost here.

ptatohead taped his boot with duct tape if I remeber after taking off the PRND21 piece.

for the appearance....open your mind a little. boots are not solely for five speed transmission shifters, boots aren't even only used on cars for that matter. a boot is a boot, the type of transmission doesnt determine whether its worthy of a boot or not.
lol and i was prepared for someone to say this cause i've done the boot mod on my auto and i think it looks awesome. it doesnt mean im trying to BE A 5 SPEED, i just want my interior to look a certain way.

Yeah I plan on getting the lower plastic piece from a manual, and putting a nice black shift boot on it so it looks like a manual. Just my 2 cents.

i considered that but i was told that the shifter would be off to the right enough to look kind of awkward. so i just stuck with the auto, looks pretty nice.
