Idle Air Control Question

Hey guys, I've been having a small starting issue on cold mornings so I decided to clean out my iac. Only problem is I could not remove one single screw on the da** thing! I cleaned out the metal nozzles but I'm sure that does nothing... Everything I tried was just stripping the screws so I quit. Was wondering which ones i need to remove? The two on either side or the 3 on the end where the elec.. connector goes? I may try again later.......... Thanks

if you had read the how to in the stickies, it should clearly state that theres one last screw thats inaccessible because of a bracket. you gotta do it by touch, but you'll eventually get it. as for which tubes to take out. again look in the stickies. i remember when i was cleaning mine, i had the instructions tacked under the wiper.

I couldn't see any value in removing the two screws and three screws that are on the outside. However I did take off the three screws on the inside where all the carbon has built up. You may need a new phillips bit. It has to seat well to crack the screws loose.

Sorry guys, i got my part names mixed up.. the thing im talking about is bolted to the top of the intake manifold and has one electrical connector and two short black hoses connected to it. One goes to a black vacuum diaphram i think and the other right next to the throttle body. What is this called?

Try penetrating oil (liquid wrench). Good luck.
