d2, d1 shift

lately, when I'm accelerating, I shift to d1, shift to d2 at about 6000 rpm. I just like the torque, when i shift from d1 to d2 and then d. Is this bad for the transmission?

I did that with my cavalier and the tranny went out the window. I have an auto max right now and I leave it in D. I think you should get a VB mod or a drop resistor mod and just let the tranny do its own thing. And stay on top of things when it comes to changing tranny oil. Just my 2 cents.

My friend does this constanly in his car and every time he takes a hard right turn at a higher speed than intended his tranny wont shift. Then he has to stop the car and restart it, then it starts to work again. Do you want this to happen to you. Use the auto tranny like its intended to be used.

never ever! shift with an automatic, it destroys the transmission... an automatic is not meant to be downshifted due to the fact that there are too many parts ineracting within the transmission which u can't directly control unlike a manual tranny... thats a no no... BAD kasemodz BAD!
