Problem with 96 to 99 front conversion
Problem with 96 to 99 front conversion
Hello,
I read all the FAQ's and HOW-TO's on the conversion and did it last night but the grill does not fit (i still have the 96 headlights). The bumper meets the fenders fine and are all bolted in, but the 3 holes where the bumper cover meet the bumper under the grill are about 1/4 inch off (the holes on the bumper cover are 1/4" too far too the right of the holes on the bumper). When i put the grill on and close the hood the hoop where the hood locks into the hood lock hits the grill because the grill is too far back. So i then put my 96 grill back on to see if it will work and it fits, the hood closes fine and there is lots of clearance where the hood hoop meets the hood lock
.
also the signal lights dont fit that great
If anyone has done the conversion do they have pics that they can post or email to projectpete19@hotmail.com?
