I believe The 1993-2001 Altima (and maybe some other nissans too) share most of their front suspension components with the 4th gen max and I was wondering if anybody knows of a manual steering rack (no power steering) that could fit on the 4th gen max?

You've got to be bloody joking. The main reason I got rid of my 3.8 Jag was the fact it had no power steering. And that car was roughly the same size as the Max. It was *horrible*. On the open road, yeah ok, but in town? Parking? I used to need a parking space big enough for three cars because it was so heave-ho. I recall once, someone parked too close to me and after heaving back and forth for a while trying to get out, I just used the power of that beast to shove the offending car a bit further up the road.
