Have 19's on my '99, going any bigger will throw you speedometer off wack. I thing 20's is pushing it. You might run into rubbing issues. Before buying my wheels I did some research on wheel sizes came across this site found it to be useful. http://maxmods.dyndns.org/?MaximaWheels

20's and up will drastically put a lot of stress on your car's drivetrain, suspension components, and brakes. That's tons of unsprung weight, you will loose a lot of power and stopping your car will be difficult. IMO, anything above 20" on a Maxima is plain stupid. Having 19's is pushing it.

You seen the crap they do now...24s on monte carlos with lift springs...26s on a el camino. Some new magazine "Doinks and Bubbles" yes that is the name, all 20s and up on cars that they do not belong on. You have got to see this mag, it is the funniest thing I have read in a while.

I work at a wheel & tire shop here in San Fran. We have put dubs on 4th gens before but it just looks kinda silly. At first glance the "wow" factor is there but after seeing it for a couple of days it gets old really fast. Out here in San Francisco the latest trend has been to put the biggest rims possible on any car. I have customers callin about lift kits so they can squeeze 22's & 24's on sedans. Lets just remember.....bigger is not always better. I have 06 350z rims on my 96 and I dont think I would go any bigger.

Wow alot of dub haters! I had mine on for about a month now, and theres not much of a change from the 18's I had before, they just lifted the car a little bit. And its lowered with Teins and kyb struts.

old pic of 18's

i think 20s is the limit, given the rim style is ok...no face rims imo

20s are way too big. You've gotta raise the car to fit them....18's are plenty any higher is just too much.

Everytime I see a Maxima on 20's and I see them around here quite a bit, I think of a tractor. Lowered or not, it's not sexy at all.

When I lower my car I had 18's so theres was noproblem with rubbing.

Then I got the 20's, I thought I might have to put the stock springs back on. But after test fitting and driving around on them there wasn't much of a difference, they just rubbed a little when turning all the way left and right. But I can put my hand on the top of the tire, so theres no rubbing on the outter finders.

Not sure why people put dubs on maximas, other than they're so cheap these days.

IMO: A good set of 18's are usually lighter, look better (unless you've got a bodykit) and ride-better.
