Exhuast Question

A shop nearby does custom exhuast work for a pretty decent price, so I'm planning on doing a catback dual for my 98 SE. I wanted to do flowmasters or magnaflows for mufflers but I'm afraid of how loud it's gonna be. It's cool if it's loud outside and on up to 2nd/3rd gear. Just want it to be quieter when cruising and inside the car. Are the mag. and flow. gonna be too loud? Should I find a cheaper racing muffler on ebay?

Cheaper racing mufflers on Ebay will be louder, they sound like ricer civics, the Flowmasters and Magnaflow should give a nice deep sound.

had a magnaflow and hated the sound. I'd rather have the stock 4th or 5th gen version. Quiet and flows well.

Intake sound does sound good, but exhaust gives power.

Yeah I want a deeper sound, so would the 5th gen give me any deeper tone if I have dual? Or should I go with the flowmaster?
I'm really stuck with this decision lol I want a nice sound. Deeper, but not crazy.

I have an A33B muffler, it flows well and the tone is perfect. It is on the quieter side though at idle and cruising, but sounds great opened up. It has dual chambers, only one is open until you give it some gas. A33 mufflers have a single oval tip (with 2 tips inside that are hard to see) but the A33B muffler (5.5 gen) have 2 individual tips that I believe can have the tips changed like any other muffler (stock ones look good though).

A dual setup would be fine, I reccomend running atleast one resonator (stock location is fine).

I'm gonna change the y-pipe soon after I do the dual, so for that deep tone should I go with the two 5th gen mufflers? Flowmaster, or go with a universal HKS muffler from ebay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNIVE...QQcmdZViewItem

I'm stuck and I havn't really gotten too much direction. I want a deep tone. I'm changing the y-pipe so whats gonna produce the best sound?!

Yeah I looked at it but I don't want to pay over $300 just for two of those mufflers when I do the dual. That's gonna cost me way over $400.

Don't use universal crap off ebay, go with something you know is going to sound good (Flowmaster, Borla, etc.).

I would like that axle back deal but it's just too much. I think the look is nice and the sound should be good. I'm gonna look to see if I can get a discount for buying two at once haha.
