Univ. O2 Sensor Wiring

During Spring break I would like to change my rear O2 sensor (code popped up), anyways I want to save some $$$$ and use a universal O2 sensor, so that means I have to cut the wires off the old one and some how connect them to the new one. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Any links to write-ups?

I did it with the Bosch sensor. It's really quite easy and the instructions that come with it gave me all the info I needed. (And I don't like electrical stuff!)

I guess I'm asking:
What exactly do I do to replace the O2 with a universal unit?
How many wires are there for the downstream sensor?
How do I connect the wires?
etc...

The only thing it does is make the check engine light go on when it stops working.

I noticed no difference in anything after I replaced the rear O2 due to a CEL.
