ok ... I need to have my max inspected ... the inspection sticker is from 2004 ... anyone know of a cheap place ? I have the check engine light for KS sensor and EGR sensor, also the Megan full catback system ... thanx in advance

 

The exhaust might not be a problem if you go to a private garage for the inspection, but you've got to fix the EGR system and make sure the KS code goes away as well or you cannot pass NJ inspection.

 

Get a KS from eBay for like $70. Generally the cheapest inspection I've seen cost $10. What does it usually cost $12-$15? Pretty cheap, perhaps you're asking if there is a place you can take it that will overlook the KS and EGR....

 

i thought inspection was $35 no mater where you go..........

 

you should probably ask this in the regional forums. inspections are different everywhere.
edit: didn't see you're from jersey, you will definately fail if you have any codes (and resetting the ecu doesn't work), they didn't hook a sniffer up to my car, just hooked some thing up to the ecu and that was all. i would say either fix the codes (not really that hard and better for your car) or try to find a shady place that'll pass you for a fee.
