I am considering changing my shift boot to a Momo. I guess they offer two types of designs. Has anybody done this?

Yes, I have. I bought a Momo Race Air Leather Aluminum and the universal shift boot with the threaded collar. The **** screws into the boot eliminating any gap between the two.

When you take off your shifter trim and unclip the boot from the trim, you will need to unstitch the boot to get the piece of wire that is in there. That is what is used to snap into the clip and hold the boot in place. The Momo leather boot is a bit thicker than the Nissan one, and because of that, it take a bit of work to get it to fit right. In no way is it going to be a half-*** job, you just have to play with it to make it look perfect. The Momo boot is not a direct fit, but it will work.

I don't have any pics uploaded, but it looks good.

Let me know if you need anymore help/tips

Thanks for the info. The local re-seller tried to talk me out of the 'threaded' boot and buy the other Momo type. He also raises the prices in $10 increments in every trip (he originally quoted me $50 for the boot, now it is $60).
Do you know of any cheaper online dealer?

I got mine from a local store. It was difficult to find them online. Here's my Stillen experience for ya'll.

I call them up and order it. They tell me it's backordered for 2 weeks. I was fine with that, and told them I would wait. 3 weeks pass by and I call them up and am told that they are backordered for 4 months. They had already charged my credit card. So i had to cancel the order and then wait around 3 or 4 more bi days to get the charged reversed. I went ot the local shop and got the stuff for $20 more. But it was available the next day.......Just get it from your local store if you don't want to wait forever. When I start selling stuff, I will try and carry them if you are going to wait about 3 weeks or so.
