Another Max in an accident!!!!!!!!!!!

As I was navigating a traffic circle an out of town motorist came into my lane and hit the rear drivers side panel of my car. I was fine and so were my passengers and there appears to be no frame damage done. For those of you who have been in an accident how much have you had to pay to have the rear panel done? I don't have collision insurance and I'm sure somehow I'll be stuck getting it fixed myself and i know
I will get some pics up in the morning when I have a chance

The rear quarter panel...isn't fun, to say the least. If you look, it's actually one whole piece, both quarter panels and the roof, so they have to be cut out, a new one welded in place, and the entire car taken into the paint booth so they can paint that side and blend the paint to match.

I've heard of earlier 4th gens in this forum (95-96, basically) that have been declared totalled just because of damage to the quarter panel, because of how it's set up.

Pics, though, would definitely be best.

if it aint too bad, body shops could just use some kind of filler or bondo. It happened to my camry and thats how they fixed it.

I hope this isn't the case. I'd really love to keep this car. What's worse is I don't have collision insurance so if by some chance it winds up being my fault then I'll have to get it done myself. I just got it back from the stealership too after they did my alternator recall. And the guy managed to get the same clear corner I just got replaced from custom enterprise.

Here's a link to a couple of images I was able to upload to my computer so far today. Got a few estimates and looks to be about $2300 worth of damage. Still waiting to hear back from the other drivers insurance company about them paying for my repairs.

Saaame exact thing happened to me last month (Same spot too on the driver side rear quarter)....but mine was parked and someone backed into it out of a driveway....I was ******* pisssed....but I know a body shop guy that does side jobs at home and did mine last week in like 3 days on his time off. But yeh he charged me 350$$ which isn't bad at all I think n I think mine was worse. I think he just bondoed it and blended the paint. It looks perrrfect....You would never be able to tell I was hit....Now I got one more lil one that I got on the pass front quarter panel from snow driftin wit ma friend...shoulda kept our distance . But yeh if you wanna come by CT lol I can get you hooked up
Ooo Yeh n I asked a body shop before that and they said $800 soo.....

That's nothing. A puller and some body filler will fix that. I'd do the job myself if it were my car, then take it to a sprayer 100% prepared and ready, so as not to cost too much.

I may do that if his insurance doesn't cover the whole thing to save myself some money. I actually was just thinking about getting a puller and trying to get the dent out myself.
