Finally found the limit with reverse staggered tires

225/50 up front and 215/55 in back... wow, car will actually oversteer when you want it to.

Just thought I'd let you guys know... it almost seems to have gotten rid of understeer... but obviously it hasn't. It feels very good in the twisties though, I have a hard time not ripping my CV to shreds (it complains around left handers).

I'm going to switch my rims around this weekend to see how the car acts, and how it looks...

In a little while I'll actually have 245/45 in front and 225/50 in rear... maybe I'll report on that as well. My rims are widerrrr.... muahahaha

I know it looks strange, and that's why I'm looking for another set of 8.5" rims to put on the back, but you're going to see a lot more of the tread on the front tires, as they're the ones that turn and will face other directions.

Personally I'd rather have a car that functionally make sense than one that's trying to look RWD.... but yeah.

I dunno if that's supposed to be funny..? but my left CV has been questionable for quite awhile, and I don't wanna replace it until it really becomes a problem. All it really does is click a little under moderate acceleration when I'm pulling some left Gs.

What tires you running back there? I run 225/45f-205/50r and still can't break loose when I want even with 340treadware in the rear.

Huh.. strange... they're Avon Tech M500s... they're pretty decently grippy. I took a 60mph corner pretty well and could definitely feel the back end start to go. I've also got Progress springs, Koni adjustables and a FSTB... that would be a factor..

Thanks, that was the dumbest thing I've heard all week. You do realize that you just called everyone driving the speed limit on any highway retarded, right?

Augh... I REALLY wanted FD wheels, do you have any pics of em? I assume you had to run spacers as well?

No spacers.... The fronts did rub at full lock at low speeds though....
So I guess spacers for the fronts would be needed...
I didn't get a chance to snag pictures... Maybe I can swap rims with my friend for a day or two...

Yeah I know, exploring the limits of one's car is really stupid. I think you may have two words confused here... corner and 90 degree turn i.e. right angle intersection?

"You have no brain for going around a corner at 60mph" I don't see where my post is relevant at all, you made a very bold statement there.

Listen, there ain't much misinterpretation of "you have no brain for taking a corner at 60mph." There is, on the other hand, miswording. You made a statement which claims that the logical conclusion for someone turning their car at 60mph is that they have no brain. You probably meant to say something like "blah blah you're dangerous because you drove around a corner fast and that makes you stupid," but even then, seeing as how you've spent money on suspension, exhaust and transmission mods, I don't see where you have the right to complain.

I don't see the need for suspension mods if you're only dragging.

Anyway, hopefully if you have half a brain you can see where I'm going with this.. you modified your car to improve the HANDLING. I said the corner I took was a 60mph corner, not "I took a hairpin in a populated area at 60mph." I was in complete control of the car, and I have plenty of experience handling cars around windy roads. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

Busy tonight, gonna be working tomorrow, you know where the metro 4 is? I'll be there from noon till 8. If you wanna swing by before or after work that would work, or you could swing by at work. Glad our hurried install seems to have worked just fine.

I.. I think you're just beyond saving. Have fun going fast (well, not really so fast) in a straight line. And keep in mind that if you punch it at all on the street or in the mountains, you're being dangerous and should slow down.

I'm at work from 9:30-6 tomorrow and I have to be home at about 6:30 so I'm there when they deliver my tires.... =\

Nah, I don't really want to go up there too much, it was pretty hard on my car even with stock suspension... I like nice mostly smooth roads without any people around.
