Won 300 bucks in lottery what to buy for bone stock max.

Hi guys still can't belive... lol... today i won 300 bucks in lottery i came on work on gas station and checked it. So i got the cash right away and now i'm thinking about getting something for my max. i thought about getting full package of car care like clay bar polish wax absorber but also i'm thinking about keeping it because i got my car for like a month and it has 160 miles so i'm a little scared about something to go off like a sensors or stuff like that because if so i'm screwed without the money.

Please dont flame just decided to share my mood with you.

^ hahaha, that it can.... I say save it until you have a comfortable cushion of maintenance money, then start modding.

Just save it. Modding is a drug and you don't want to get hooked.

Just my 2 cents.

Put it on a lift and check everything out. If you don't have any drips or torn boots or anything else that needs fixing buy a y-pipe and buy more lottery tickets with the rest.

If you must spend it on mods, then suspension. If not, save it for a rainy day.

Exactly, WTF.

Congrats on winning some extra cash. I would start with maint. and possibly go for a y-pipe if everything is in decent shape.

YES! Except I don't think I'd use $150 on the lottery... but the lift and checkout, absolutely!

i thought you had to pay taxes on winnings, but now that i think of it, i won around 120 recently and never paid tax...go figure.
anyway, 300 is a good chunk. I would not spend it on just one item...i would buy alot of little things. i've spent 300 easily on paints and chemicals of all kinds.

I would go through the entire suspension, test sensors, coil packs, check plugs, etc before you go spending the money on mods and cleaning stuff. Just make sure everything is working properly and within specs before you spend it all. Just so you don't run into something expensive after all the money is gone. Two cheap mods....under $50 bucks FSTB and cheap ebay cold air intake with filter and adapter, have fun modding.

Guys do you really think that 160k it's a lot for maxi. When i bought it I was very happy but now i think that 160 is a lot and i can expect anything even though it was highway miles i recently replaced alternator and thats about it no codes, tranny shifts smooth as silk everything works as it suppose to work(i guess) except resonator there is a litlle hole so it makes a little hissing sound.
Some people told me here that i shouldn't start modding it because of milege now i'm frustrated. My be better start preparing it for a sale even though i love this car.
Before me it was lady driven and it's 97.
Any ideas might help.

Keep the car save your money... with the 300 stock up on really good fluids.. like royal purple oil or redline if you want to go crazy..tranny fluid..also good filters.. maybe an 02 sensor...160 is ok mileage..you have about another 100..if you keep giving gooood fluids you can possibly go another 150

or i liked the idea of ebay front strut tower brace, ebay CAI and possibly you could get a y-pipe as well, you might end up spending a little of your own money but that would be some great upgrades...

CAI's are for sound; with $300, I would hack the air box if I wanted that sound.

hmm, if he gets the bomz i think it would be better than a hacked airbox, plus if he mods more he'll be glad that he has some sort of intake rather than a cut up peice of plastic (for sound) i suppose....

besides, a mid-pipe is always a plus for nitrous.

Start with with maintenance.

I got a 98 in Oct. of last year with 167K miles. It ran pretty good. I changed the spark plugs, fuel filter, did the auto RX treatment (highly recommended), Knock sensor (remember the CEL doesn't have to be on to be bad, check the codes), manual tranny fluid (Redline), air filter, and I have been running Lucas gas treatment. It now runs smooth, pulls hard and gets 30 mpg highway consistently. When I got it I got 23-25 mpg on the highway.

Now I feel confident when I drive it on 600 mile trips. Now that I said that, it will blow up in the driveway.

Just like some of the other guys said. Do the maintenance and then... get a Y-pipe.

if everythin checks out ok I'd say either Y-pipe or suspension. The y-pipe is most deffinetely the greatest mod to do to a completely stock maxima (best "bang for the buck") However, suspension is a very close second. Id say save up for suspension. Youll be glad u did after the first ride with a nice setup.

I'd say do some maintenance then go for the y-pipe and bomz CAI. Give some power. Or save some, keep going for suspension.

wtf? if i get 18-20 im happy, i need a new o2 sensor, and while its in im gonna have my mechnic clean the TB and fuel system(are these things are to do?) What does a Y-pipe do, more power? better gas milege? i guess i should get a y-pipe instead of a new muffler??? Thanks
