Supposidly if you call XM and bltch a little and say you are going to sirius, they will offer you $3/month deal instead of $13/month. Howard Stern pwns!

awesome, i want to hard wire mine as well just to get that ugly mess out of the way. i have the ROADY2 and the only thing i dont like about it is the fact that you have to plug all 3 plugs in and unplug them when you want to take it out. (which is everyday for me)
other headunit models have the base that serves as a plug as well so all you do is pop it in.

I think I'll be giving them a call.

BTW - I'm still getting that damn whine noise when I accelerate...I think I am gonna have to open it back up and see if I can ground something else. That Ground Loop Isolator doesn't seem to be working and I think the noise is coming from that AUXNISS.

I installed my XM roady2 straddled on the main a/c vents. I ran all the wires (except the tape adapter) behind the a/c ducts where I installed an extra cigarette lighter socket under the dash. The antenna runs under the dash and tucked under the trim and sits on the drivers side just above the windshield. Very clean.

No, that's the AUXNISS tricking the head unit into thinking there is a CD changer but its really an auxillary out put for an XM, iPod, etc.
