cutting bumpstops

I have kyb gr2/tein h tech springs, When cutting the bumpstops how much safely can you cut for the front/rear? On the rear is it ok to cut all the way to about 1/2 inch of rubber left?
thanks

I would only cut off about 1/2 of an inch. That is what I cut off of mine and no problems after 2 years.

I had cut mine in the back down to about 1 inch of rubber left, hopefully it will improve the ride.

Yeah when you cut your bump stops you gain travel which equals better ride, I'm pretty sure your supposed to do this when you lower because your factory ones are meant for the longer springs, so they will rarely ever need the bump stops.

In the Tokico papers it is stating to do that. I cut mine half in front and more than half in back.
