I read thru some threads about getting power to your seats. Every thread I read, it seemed that every one had a plug to plug into at least on the driver side. Well my problem is that I do not have a plug for either side. I just have one tiny plug on the driver side. I was under the impression that all fourth gens came wired for power seats even if the option is not installed? For the guys that hooked up power to your power seats with no plug, how did you do it? Thanks for any help.

I know if your car wasn't equipped you need the relay under the dash and the wiring from that. The little plug is for the seatbelt warning light.

Im pretty sure they come wired. You just need a fuse to power them.

Nope not all maximas as everyone assumes. What I did was pull up the carpet and found a some wires underneath. I tapped into the wiring. The white wire with red tracer is a constant power. I tapped the yellow wire from the seat harness to this and grounded it to the bolt that holds the seat. I'm still not surehow to do the heated seats. I just know the grey wires are high and low, but unsure of how to connect to a switch.

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and did something diffrent last night before I read the forum. Since the carpet is all out of my car I just hooked them to the cig lighter. Hopefully this will work? Also on the seat, I am going to have to cut the plug off to make this work. Which wire is which on the seat? Which one is power and which one is ground?

The thick yellow one is the power and the black is the ground. The grey wires are for the heated seats.

cig lighter is switched you won't be able to move the seat w/o the key on.

I realize that. I really don't care since I don't plan on moving the seat a lot, I just want them to work if I need them to. I am going to go put in some work on it now.
