I really like em but something looks wierd about them.. I honestly wanna buy some but I dont know about the light bulb inlet.. It looks like theres now lil dome on top of where the tip of the bulb would be.. Would yall get emo or rather do the diy A.E. mod?

I'd rather do the AE mod myself. It's very easy and there's no reason to spend money on an extra set of lights.

seems like the reflector would house some of the glare if you put in a standalone hid bulb w/o a retrofit? anyone care to share?

AE mod isn't hard to do. Much more worth it. If you plan on buying the C.E. lights why not try the AE mod first. No point in buying them if you didn't screw them up first. I say do the AE mod, if you f up or don't like it then spend the money. Otherwise...not worth the extra $$

It going to be April 8th at the Tony Burger Center in South Austin. Time is yet to be determined, but go to the regional section and look for the "I popped my cherry" thread.

The little "dome" you are refering to is a glare shield. It prevents light from coming directly off of the source. Remember, since the filament is a wound cylinder, light emanates in all directions. The "dome" redirects the light going forward to the aft of the lamp, where it is reflected off of the housing.

I have them for my car. Had them one for about 3 weeks, they fit great look great, light output is good, still working on them.

NEG- Light bulb housing blows, Broke on of my hid bulbs due to ****ting fitting.

Stock bulbs it came with, one of them blew out within 5 min of me having them on and seeing if they are aimed corrected.

Should come with all bolts. not just those inner ones.

Bulb lock nut sucks. Sorry OEM is way better.

The light bulb insert does have an open top which to me doesnt really glare, but I can see if you installed some HID's how that would become a problem. If you search for a thread started by Tom: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....&highlight=tom , he managed to use a Volvo Projector setup in his stock housing, and they looked awesome.

Not with mine dude, The ****ty bulb blew on me within 5 min. The lock nut for the bulbs are not near oem. They look like an ABS ring. OEM has a smooth finish, better fittment. When I get my hid bulbs I will try again to install them without breaking them. Once they are in I will take pics. Nothing fancy about the bulbs it came with, Reg lights to me. Each to his own I guess.

Hmmmm, I've been very intrigued by these glass headlights, that won't scratch or cloud because they are glass. Do they mount and fit exactly as OEM ? And, can you put whatever bulb you want in them, or only a certain kind ? I may purchase these as mine are looking kind of crappy.

They're not OEM these are made by CE. There's always fitment issues with alot of lighting stuff like this. It's a valid q.

Ill let you know when the ***** sends me out my hid bulbs. These bulb housings sucks, it broke one of my hid bulbs. I did however try them with the 7k hid bulb in it. 100x better than OEM glass lights. The glare was way less. again i will take pics once I get my new bulbs.

Why not just AE mod then? Looks the same and wont be effected by the open reflector.

Dude my hid bulbs were shipped out today, I will let you know how they look when I get them. Trust me I just told you before, I had one functional hid, 7000k bulb with it on during the day time it didn't seem it would cause that much of a glare issuse. Its was more of a pure light, clean look without that oem glass hid look. Look at my sig you see how the hids look? Well picture that as a clean clear light and being able to see inside the headlight.

I have the original lenses in mine. They werent very bright until I bought some ultra white bulbs while I was in Germany. They seem to be pretty bright now, but I'm thinking of getting some new lenses.

It's all the same. Heat them up pull them apart and paint.

I also dont understand why anyone is spending money on the lights (ebay or CE)!! Its so easy to do! Spending money on them is just not worth it! If you mess up the mod then buy them.

These lights are different then OEM, they have completely clear lenses.
