Custom Enterprise AE Shift ****

I purchased my AE **** aug 12, 2004. It's currently worn quite abit, and I'm not pleased with this products longevity even considering it's a wear item. I guess my question is, Am I being unreasonable? It has been a year and a half...

Right. My invoice only shows that there is a 14 day return policy on unused items. Am I the only person to have mine wear out on them? The **** is gorgous but there's no way I'm gonna spend $52+shipping for another one!

Yeah, mine too. I bought mine from CE and it appeared to have an aluminum finish on the top, which in about a years time, it wore off to a shiny finish underneath. I just continued to peel the coating away and it looks good. The leather isn't worn or anything. I'm not buying another one either, until it literally falls off! You've got to think though, driving a 5 speed, your hand is constantly on that ****, constantly shifting, especially in city traffic.

As far as a knock off, I'm not sure. I don't think I could tell a difference, but my invoice claims it's the anniversary edition but perhaps that isn't a true AE ****. I guess the dealership would be the place to get one huh?

I tried to find one on nissanpart4u.com but I didn't see it... I suppose I'll just replace it with a weighted **** somewhere down the line, it might make my CE STS easier to deal with!

I am going to go with yes, I'm sure there are AE's with over 100K with less or similar wear.

If you bought your AE ***** from any other place other than the dealer, then the durability is not gonna be there. It seems like those are knock-off versions or something.
