Whats that humming?

when I have my car at a stop on any gear it makes an unusual humming noise, would you guys know whats up with that?

where's it coming from, Everywhere? Mine hums too, but i know its due to loose interior panelling. U stop...and it idles and something vibrates against something.

More details.

it does sound like vibrations. Sounds like theyre coming from the drivetrain, should I check for loose items? and if so which ones?

dude you sooooooooo nedd to be able to explain the sound..... imagine we are 5 year old kids learing something new... if you can explain like that, we will be able to point yu in a couple of directions to look for it... opoen your engine and try lissening for the sound... go under the car and look for it...

Yep...the drivetrain ...um stick ur head under the hood since its NOT the interior or at least stick ur head out the driver's side window and let me know "around" where its coming from. It's probably something worn or coming loose, or you never know could be your alternator...so we better fix it before you have a problem.

Sometimes I'll use a s***hescope made outta a screwdriver to find a noise location.

Frequently exhaust, check your hangers and make sure exhaust system isn't contacting the underbody anywhere. Could be worn motor mounts, Could be a lot ot things.
