ABS speed sensor removal

I am trying to replace my front left ABS sensor and took the one bolt off, but the damn sensor is stuck to the hub mount it seems! I did a seach here and there is nothing on it! Just one thread where someone suggested breaking the plastic part of the old sensor to remove it. Any other ideas?

use some pb blaster or wd 40. it is just stuck in there. move it around. if not go the crzy route since you are puttign a new one and stick something in the other side and smack it with a hammer and it should pop out. lol. i need sleep.

There is no "other side" to it from what I can see. The sensor shaft looks like it goes into the hub mount and doesn't really stick out the other side... it is going into what looks like a dead end!

I went the crazy route and broke the sensor plastic off but the sensor piece itself is still stuck in the damn hole!!! ARGH!

wedging a screw driver can pry it loose.

It was hard when I tried to remove mine that was melted to the spindle

Mine must be melted to the spindle as well... no way that it can be stuck on so hard otherwise!

Is all you did pry it out with a screwdriver? How long did it take??

I actually used this flat piece that came off my car when I was underneath the front bumper, it only took a half a min to pry it off.

the flattest but strongest thing you can find should do the job well.
